How can I review my current benefits elections?
Go to Workday and select Menu > Benefits and Pay > expand the Benefits tab > Benefit Elections. The benefits listed are the ones you are currently enrolled in.
Can I make changes to my benefits in the middle of the year?
With the exception of your HSA, Commuter, and 401(k) benefits, you cannot change your benefits midyear unless you experience a qualifying life event.
Aside from qualifying life events, the only time you can change your benefits elections is during Annual Enrollment each fall for benefits effective January 1 of the following year.
When does my coverage start?
Benefits elections made during Annual Enrollment are effective the following January 1.
Otherwise, your benefits coverage will be retro-dated and effective as of your hire date or the date of your qualifying life event.* Our benefits carriers will need some time to process your choices, so expect any updates to take at least up to 10 days.
*Coverage for some of our plans (the Health Savings Account (HSA), critical illness, hospital insurance, and accident insurance) begins on the first of the month in which payroll deductions for the benefit begin.
Do I need to submit proof when I enroll my dependents?
Workday doesn’t require proof of dependent eligibility, but we do reserve the right to request it if it is needed to support an audit or resolve an inquiry. Keep in mind that if you cover a domestic partner (or their children) on Workday plans, a portion of your contributions will be made on an after-tax basis, and imputed income may also apply.
Where can I find my 401(k) enrollment information?
Go to Fidelity to check on your retirement plans and savings. You can review and request changes to your 401(k) contributions and investment options at any time during the year, and the contributions changes will appear in your paycheck as soon as administratively possible. Use Northstar for assistance planning your retirement contributions.
Will I get an ID card from my insurance carrier?
It depends on your plan. In most cases, plans are going digital and you can access your ID card from your mobile app. For more information, visit Horizon.
