What you need to know
Finding the right doctor is a good start but dig deeper. Your Workday benefits might include the perfect resource. To find out, answer this first: How are you feeling?

Meet your Benefits Buddies
Have you met Pete and Morgen? When you or a family member has questions, they have answers. Cigna members can get help with all things prescription drugs (Pete) and health care (Morgen), including finding in-network providers, understanding benefits, investigating claims, and more! If you’re a Kaiser member, reach out to Member Services, and if you’re a SimplePay Health member, reach out to your Health Valet.

If you have simple symptoms, such as a rash, cough, or fever, you have a few options:
- Use virtual care. Everyone can use the My Premise Health app for virtual visits by calling 844-737-0894 or visiting MyPremiseHealth.com. Kaiser members can still use Premise Health but should start with Kaiser options first by calling 800-611-1811.
- Live in Pleasanton? Go to Cloud Care.
- Go see your regular doctor. This is what they’re for!
I need medical attention now.

For immediate (but not life-threatening) issues, like broken bones or bad cuts, go to urgent care.
- If you live in Pleasanton, go to Cloud Care.
- If you live elsewhere, find a Cigna clinic, Kaiser clinic, or Aetna provider (SimplePay Health) near you.
Outside of normal hours, go to the emergency room.

If you are having trouble breathing, have chest pain, or are experiencing extreme trauma, call 911 or go to the emergency room.
Remember: If you go to the ER for non-life-threatening medical issues, you’ll have a long wait and a hefty bill.

I’m traveling (or away from home) and need care.
How you should receive care depends on which medical plan you have. All Workmates, regardless of medical plan enrollment, might find Unum travel assistance or International SOS travel support helpful.
Cigna members:
- If you’re traveling domestically, you can likely find a doctor in the Cigna network.
- During international travel, care is covered only in urgent situations (fever, infections, flu, etc.) or in emergencies. Call Cigna at 866-763-8442 before you receive care. If it’s an emergency and you can’t contact Cigna in advance, you must do so within 24 hours of the event. You’ll pay out of pocket, but you can file a claim for reimbursement once you return home.
SimplePay members:
- If you’re traveling domestically, you can likely find a doctor in the Aetna (Meritain) network.
- During international travel, your plan covers emergency room care as though you visited an in-network provider. You’ll pay out of pocket, but you can file a claim for reimbursement once you return home.
Kaiser members:
- If you’re traveling in a state that has Kaiser facilities, you must visit a Kaiser provider (except in emergencies). Kaiser facilities are located in California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Georgia, Hawaiʻi, Maryland, Oregon, Virginia, and Washington. Please call 951-268-3900 for assistance.
- If you’re traveling domestically outside the Kaiser service area, you can receive urgent care at the following sources at in-network rates:
- Cigna PPO providers
- MinuteClinic (includes pharmacies)
- Concentra Urgent Care
- The Little Clinic (includes pharmacies)
- For international travel, your urgent and emergency care is covered at in-network rates. You’ll pay out of pocket, but you can file a claim for reimbursement once you return home. Please call 951-268-3900 for assistance.

- For Cigna members, to fill a 30-day supply of your prescription, visit any retail pharmacy in the CVS Caremark network. That includes all the big dogs, like CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid. For prescriptions that you take regularly, order a 90-day supply from the CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy, and save money. You can also go to the Cloud Care pharmacy in Pleasanton for everything from over-the-counter medications to filling specialty prescriptions.
- For SimplePay Health members, prescriptions are administered by CVS Caremark; however, you will pay SimplePay Health for any out-of-pocket costs. You can also go to the Cloud Care pharmacy in Pleasanton for everything from over-the-counter medications to filling specialty prescriptions.
- For Kaiser members, Kaiser is also the administrator for the prescription drug coverage.
