What you need to know

You have lots of options for care. But more options means more choices, and picking the right one can be confusing. No longer, Workmate! Start here!

Meet your Benefits Buddies

Have you met Pete and Olga? When you or a family member has questions, they have answers. Cigna members can get help with all things prescription drugs (Pete) and health care (Olga), including finding in-network providers, understanding benefits, investigating claims, and more! If you’re a Kaiser member, reach out to Member Services, and if you’re a SimplePay Health member, reach out to your Health Valet.

Contact Pete or Olga

How do you feel? It’s physical.

I have a routine health concern.

If you have simple symptoms, such as a rash, cough, or fever, you have a few options:

  1. Use virtual care. Everyone can use the My Premise Health app for virtual visits by calling 844-737-0894 or visiting MyPremiseHealth.com. Kaiser members can still use Premise Health but should start with Kaiser options first by calling 800-611-1811.
  2. Live in Pleasanton? Go to Cloud Care.
  3. Go see your regular doctor. This is what they’re for!

I need medical attention now.

For immediate (but not life-threatening) issues, like broken bones or bad cuts, go to urgent care.

Outside of normal hours, go to the emergency room.

My symptoms could be life-threatening.

If you are having trouble breathing, have chest pain, or are experiencing extreme trauma, call 911 or go to the emergency room.

Remember: If you go to the ER for non-life-threatening medical issues, you’ll have a long wait and a hefty bill.

I’m just trying to stay on top of my health.

If you need your annual physical, flu shot, or other routine preventive care, make an appointment with your regular doctor.

  • Cigna members can find a primary care provider (PCP) through myCigna.
  • Kaiser members can find a primary care provider (PCP) through My Health Manager.
  • SimplePay members can find a primary care provider (PCP) through the member portal.

As a reminder, preventive care is covered 100% by Workday benefits. Don’t forget that your annual flu shots are free too!

Use your Wellbeing Subsidy to trick out your home gym.

If you live near Pleasanton, you can make a same-day appointment at Cloud Care. If you want to be more active, the Pleasanton Fitness and Wellbeing Center can get you moving.

I have a toothache.

The Workday dental benefits cover basic, major, and orthodontic benefits.

Say what? I think I might need glasses.

The vision plan covers preventive exams and has an allowance for eyeglasses or contacts. Log on to the VSP website to find a doctor near you.

TruHearing benefits are also included with this benefit and provide discounts on hearing aids. Visit TruHearing or call 877-396-7194 (be sure to identify yourself as a VSP member) to learn more.

I’m trying to start a family.

We are so excited for you. There’s a lot to plan for, and Workday has the family planning and support programs to help you through it all.

I need a second opinion.

A second look never hurts. Cigna members can get peace of mind with access to expert physicians through Cleveland Clinic’s Virtual Second Opinions program (use service key “CIGNA” to register).

I need to fill a prescription.

  • For Cigna members, to fill a 30-day supply of your prescription, visit any retail pharmacy in the CVS Caremark network. That includes all the big dogs, like CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid. For prescriptions that you take regularly, order a 90-day supply from the CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy, and save money. You can also go to the Cloud Care pharmacy in Pleasanton for everything from over-the-counter medications to filling specialty prescriptions.
  • For SimplePay Health members, prescriptions are administered by CVS Caremark; however, you will pay SimplePay Health for any out-of-pocket costs. You can also go to the Cloud Care pharmacy in Pleasanton for everything from over-the-counter medications to filling specialty prescriptions.
  • For Kaiser members, Kaiser is also the administrator for the prescription drug coverage.

To learn more information on prescription drug coverage, check out the medical plan comparison chart (2024|2025).

While you are at the pharmacy, remember that certain over-the-counter items are eligible for reimbursement through a Health Care FSA or a Health Savings Account.

It’s not me; it’s my pet.

Did you know that you can bring your furry friend to the office with you? No need to worry about leaving them alone if you work in one of our dog-friendly offices.

How do you feel? It’s more emotional.

I’m alright.

For your wellbeing, you have $50 a month to treat yourself to something nice.

I’m starting to feel overwhelmed.

Whether you’re stressed about money, work, or personal relationships, you’re not alone. Join a peer support network, or check out your EAP resources.

I’m not doing well.

Let’s address that. You, and each member of your household, get 16 free counseling sessions through Mind Matters. If you still need to see someone after that, Lyra will help you find a provider or inpatient network facility who’s covered by your medical plan. Many mental health prescriptions are also covered.

Additionally, if you’re located in Pleasanton, Boulder, or Atlanta, you also have unlimited visits with onsite mental health specialists at Workday offices. Those sessions are 100% confidential.

I need help with family matters.

Life happens, and the best plans sometimes get disrupted. When that happens, Workday’s backup child and elder care options can help you make arrangements.

I want a community connection.

Our Workmates have lots of interests and passions. There’s a variety of social clubs and opportunities to give back, to help make a difference in our world.

It’s hard to be a caregiver.

We hear that. That’s why Workmates have access to caregiver support resources through Wellthy.

I’m really worried about myself.

For immediate help, call 888-713-1703 for 100% confidential, 24/7/365 support. Workday medical plans also cover psychiatrist, psychologist, and therapist visits, as well as prescription drugs that support your needs.

If you are experiencing a personal crisis, call 911 for immediate help or go to the emergency room. The Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is also available by calling 988.

How do you feel? I have questions about gender-affirming care.

I’m not sure where to start.

There’s a lot to consider. As a starting point, our medical plans have various resources to support you through your journey.

  • If you are enrolled in a Cigna medical plan, the My Personal Champion program is your best starting point. You’ll be assigned a personal champion and be given their direct phone line. Say goodbye to the annoying phone tree loops. For more information, check out Cigna's Gender Affirmation Support guide.
  • If you are enrolled in Kaiser, the care team is there to guide you through your journey and help you achieve your gender expression goals. For more information on Kaiser’s support, check out the Gender Affirming Care Guide.
  • With SimplePay Health, your Health Valet is only an email or phone call away. Contact them at 800-606-3564, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Central time, and navigate your health care options with confidence.

I need mental health support.

They will coordinate with your entire care team so you can focus on yourself (and not the paperwork). For more information on Kaiser’s support, check out Gender Affirming Care Guide.
  • With SimplePay Health, you are covered for outpatient therapy, including telemedicine.

I have questions about hormone therapy.

Whether you’re looking for more information on hormone therapy or you need a refill of a current prescription, you’re covered.

  • If you are enrolled in a Cigna medical plan, start with this Transgender Health FAQ.
  • With Kaiser, you have access to experienced providers to help you through your hormone therapy regimen. You can also get most prescriptions delivered to you within three to five days, at no extra cost. Check out Gender Affirming Care Guide.

I need a surgery or surgery evaluation.

Any surgery is a big deal, and you’ll want to learn about how it will be covered.

  • Review Cigna’s FAQ for a list of the covered surgeries.
  • For more information on Kaiser’s support, check out Gender Affirming Care Guide.
  • With SimplePay Health, any surgical procedure (such as breast or chest procedures, genital procedures, facial procedures, thyroid cartilage reduction, voice therapy, and hair removal) that you may need is covered, as long as it is deemed medically necessary and for the treatment of gender dysphoria.
  • With Mind Matters (powered by Lyra), you have access to safe and inclusive mental health evaluations for transgender members looking for a gender-affirming surgery. Lyra may be able to assist you with a letter for gender-affirming procedures, a letter to change a legal name and/or update gender markers on official documents, and a letter to your manager explaining post-surgical needs and resources. To learn more about support available through Lyra, reach out to Lyra’s Care Navigator Team at 888-713-1703 or care@lyrahealth.com.

My child needs care.

From counseling to puberty blockers, children have unique needs, which sometimes require extra special care.

  • Cigna’s advocates and case managers will work with you and your child to address your questions and make sure you understand how your benefits work. They can also connect you with resources who are specially trained on health concerns for transgender persons.
  • For more information on Kaiser’s support, check out Gender Affirming Care Guide.
  • Contact your SimplePay Health Valet for any questions about dependent coverage. Call them at 800-606-3564, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Central time, and navigate your child’s health care with confidence.
  • Mind Matters (powered by Lyra) mental and emotional health support, at no cost to you or your family members, including your children. They can even help you find a provider who specializes in and identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community.

I need to get care outside of my home area.

Workmates deserve the best care. Even if that means going the extra mile. If you need care that is not available in the area you live, you’re covered.

Our medical plan vendors will cover most services outside your home area and help coordinate care and travel. Contact your plan for more information.
