What you need to know

Pay for your transit and parking expenses through automatic, pretax deductions from your paycheck. Lower taxable income means more moola in your pocket. And, if you’re not driving, we’re taking a wild guess that your blood pressure is likely lower, too.

Go to Workday to sign up or update your commuter order.

What’s covered

You can be reimbursed for these kinds of commuter expenses:

  • Bus, light rail, regional rail, streetcar, trolley, subway, or ferry
  • Vanpool
  • Parking at or near work
  • Parking at or near public transportation for your commute

How it works

  • To enroll, initiate a Change Benefits task in Workday. After you submit your elections, we will send them to Benepass for processing.
  • Once you receive your Benepass Welcome email, create an account using your Workday email. After that, access your account through the Benepass app.
  • Complete the onboarding steps.
  • Receive your virtual card and, if you want, order additional physical cards.
  • Download the Benepass app to access your digital debit card for your use on transit pass, vanpool, or parking payments. If you prefer a physical debit card, you can also request that in the app.
  • The deadline to enroll or to make changes to your enrollment is the Friday before each paycheck.
